What is this?
Human trafficking is a massive global issue that demands a comprehensive, nuanced, and community-oriented approach to foster meaningful change. Below are lessons and activities, aimed at middle school students to educate and empower them amidst this major issue. Through a series of targeted lessons, this curriculum gives students the tools to explore key aspects of labor and sex trafficking, consumer responsibility, digital literacy, and local advocacy.
The goal is to inspire students to understand the systems of exploitation, reflect critically on their roles as individuals and members of a community, and take meaningful action. Lessons integrate real-life case studies, multimedia, and interactive activities to make the material engaging, thought-provoking, and accessible.
Recognizing that every age group and group of students are unique, this curriculum is designed to be adaptable. Teachers are encouraged to tailor the lessons to their specific needs to make sure it is relevant and maximize the impact.
